The Brookhaven American 11-year-old all-stars begin statebaseball tournament action Saturday in Natchez. Brookhaven is theDistrict Six champs and McComb is the runner-up.

The Americans play at 8 p.m. Saturday night on Ballew -BowlinField. Brookhaven meets Moss Point. At 6, Magee battles Amory.

On Carroll Jones Field, Yazoo City meets Petal at 6 followed byJones County facing host Natchez at 8.

Sunday night at 6, McComb tangles with the Yazoo County-Petalwinner.

Playing for the Americans are Anthony Durr, Blake Fugler, JeffRushing, Brennan Miller, Will Hickman, Logan Killingsworth, SawyerHudson, Corey Funk, Leighton Jordan, Jeremy Laird, Jacob Phillip,Tyler Cooper and J.D. Sones. Coaches are Mark Durr, Chase Fuglerand Glenn Miller.

The Americans captured the District 6 title with a 14-0 win overMcComb on July 12.
