Southwest sophomore forward Twymond Howard has been named the MACJC’s men’s basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 4-8. He is a graduate of Pearl High School.

Howard (6-6, 209) had two double-doubles as the Bears opened the season 2-0. He had 12 points and 10 rebounds in a 91-88 win at Northwest Mississippi. In the Bears home-opener against Bishop State, an 85-72 win, he netted 22 points and had 15 rebounds.

As the league’s Player of the Week, Howard is automatically nominated for the NJCAA’s Player of the Week.
