Ole Brook sweeps Tylertown

The Brookhaven Panthers and Lady Panthers secured a sweep over the Tylertown Chiefs Tuesday night in basketball action at Sinclair Gymnasium.

In the girls game, the Lady Panthers mauled the Lady Chiefs for a 62-47 victory.

In boys action, Panthers feasted on the Chiefs and took a 74-41 win.

Brookhaven resumes action Friday, as they prepare to visit Jack Case Gymnasium to battle the West Lincoln Bears and Lady Bears for two games. The varsity girls will begin the action at 6 p.m., followed by the boys.

Brookhaven 62, Tylertown 47 

After a slow first quarter, the Lady Panthers turned up the pressure on the Lady Chiefs to take a 24-17 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Brookhaven (7-5) managed to win the scoring fest against Tylertown as 38-30 advantage to claim the win.

Jessica Wilson poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Panthers. Chantel Quarles chipped in with 10 points.

Brookhaven 74, Tylertown 41 

The Panthers came out of the gate firing on all cylinders as they hammered the Chiefs hard to take a 38-21 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Ole Brook continued their offensive firework show by out scoring Tylertown 36-20 to secure the victory.

The Panthers (9-3) had four players to score in double figures. Shaquan Richardson led the scoring onslaught with 14 points. Tavis Moore, Darrian Wilson and Damarius Brooks fueled the flames with 10 points apiece. Carl King was rebound leader for the Panthers with 10 rebounds.
