Cole signs with Co-Lin

Jackson Cole is taking his baseball talents to the next level. Enterprise pitcher/infielder has signed a baseball scholarship with the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves.

Cole, a 6-foot-0, right-hander, signed his official scholarship papers last week in the Enterprise Library. He is the son of Tom and Frances Cole.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to play baseball at Co-Lin,” said Cole.

Cole said he is considering a career in engineering.

As a junior, Cole batted .370 for the Jackets. He accounted for 11 RBI, seven stolen bases and three doubles. On the mound, he posted a 1.57 ERA with 5-3 record in 49 innings pitched

“I think Jackson will do really well at the next level,” said Enterprise coach Cass Brister. “His a very hard worker and has three great pitches he can throw for strikes at anytime.

“Jackson is way ahead of the curve for high school baseball,” stated Brister. “I think he will do great things for Co-Lin, and I looking forward to see him reach his goals.”
