Many Brookhaven residents were without power for just over half an hour Tuesday morning, as something “tripped” the main breaker at the North Brookhaven substation, Entergy Customer Accounts Manager Bill Howard said.

While the cause of the trip is under investigation, power is back on for all 2,686 customers affected.

Power went out at 7:14 a.m. and was restored at 7:40 a.m., according to Howard.
