Panthers destroy Natchez

NATCHEZ – The Brookhaven Panthers climbed back into the win column Wednesday night with a huge victory over the Natchez Bulldogs 15-2 in Region 6-5A baseball action.

The Panthers (15-11, 6-2) will be in action today as they return home to host Pearl River Central for another huge district test at Moyer Field. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7 p.m.

Nick Kesler was the winning pitcher for Ole Brook with three strikeouts and one walk. Michael Lambert (1K, 0BB) also saw some action on the mound.

Kesler was the top slugger at the plate for Brookhaven with a double and two singles. Lambert provided double and a single. Scotty Bateman hit a pair of singles. Myles Tipton ripped a triple. Hitting safely were Blaine Moak, Reed Jones and Penn Wilson.
