Funeral services for Shirley M. Magee of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, at Fair River Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Magee, 92, died April 23, 2014, at Golden Living Center – Brook Manor. She was born Nov. 17, 1921, to Samuel H. Lofton and Mary Watts Lofton.

She graduated as valedictorian at Fair Oaks High School. She retired as a Supervisor at Stahl Urban, where she was employed for 40 years. She was a member of Fair River Baptist Church, and was actively involved in every aspect of the church and loved by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Lewis E. Magee.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Magee Calcote; two grandchildren, Alesia Ann Calcote and Lana C. Philipp and two great grandsons, Jacob Charles Philipp and Andrew Loyd Philipp.
