Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McQuage, of Wesson, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Lindsay “Laney” Helana McQuage to Colby Daniel Bass, of Bude. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Sharon Ard McQuage, of Bennettsville, South Carolina.

He is the son of Russell and Kathy Bass, of Bude.

She is the granddaughter of LeVerne and Peggy Ard, of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Jim and Anne Mincey, of Georgetown, South Carolina, Jim McQuage, of Sumter, South Carolina, Jack and Suzanne Parrish, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the late Cecil Tolson and Sherry Tolson, of Cheraw, South Carolina.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Temple, of Bude, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Bass, of Eddiceton.

The bride-elect is a 2014 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she received a master’s degree in social work. She is currently employed as a licensed master social worker at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The prospective groom is a 2013 graduate of Mississippi State University where he received his master’s degree in taxation. He is employed as a staff accountant for Haddox Reid Eubank Betts, PLLC.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Strong Hope Baptist Church in Wesson.
