SKILLMAN, N.J. – Five members of the 2014 Copiah-Lincoln Lady Wolves tennis team have been selected Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athletes. Selected from Co-Lin were Caroleah Brister, Melody Smith and Courtney Watts, all of Brookhaven; Erika Dear and Allie Dear, both of Florence.

The entire women’s tennis team was selected as an ITA All-Academic Team. All-Academic teams must have a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher. For a player to be selected as a Scholar Athlete, they must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

The 2014 Lady Wolves, coached by Holli Pepper, boasted a 3.66 team GPA. Co-Lin was one of only seven community colleges to be selected as an ITA All-Academic Team. The Lady Wolves have previously been honored for having the top GPA of any women’s athletic team in the state and for having the second highest GPA of any community college tennis team in the nation.
