Goza named Tech Master project mgr. at council

Kenny Goza of Brookhaven has been named Tech Master project manager at the Mississippi Economic Council, according to an announcement by MEC Monday afternoon.

Goza’s work experience includes 40 years in various positions with Entergy Mississippi.

In his current role at MEC, he has primary responsibility for the Mississippi Scholars Tech Master program, which encourages students to pursue and perform well in a tech-prep course of study, according to an MEC news release.

Additionally, he will provide support to the Mississippi Scholars program, recognized in more than 90 school districts and more than 145 high schools across the state.

Goza has served as chairman of the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Mississippi Scholars and as chairman of the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Workforce Advisory Board.

Currently, he serves on the board of directors for College Savings Plan, the Mississippi Department of Education Licensure and Certification and various other boards in Brookhaven and Lincoln County.

He attended at Hinds Community College.

Goza lives in Brookhaven with his wife, Vickie. They have two sons and two daughters-in-law: Gabe and wife Carey and Ben and wife Kim.

They also have four grandchildren: Kendall, Lleyton, Brielle and Beckett.
