Funeral Services for Alfred “Sonny” Butler of Wesson are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Minister Ded Alsworth will officiate. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church and again on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Butler, 85, died Aug. 25, 2014, at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Mavis Butler.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters, Beatrice Anderson and Betty L. Lackland.

Survivors are his one son, Kenny Emanuel; six nephews, Sylvester Jr. (Brenda), Roy Jr. (Martha), Frank Sr. (Rebecca), Alfred Sr. (Jan), Ernest and Paul (Joyce); three nieces, Brenda, Camille (Dannie) and Annette (Ross); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
