Sidewalk repairs are planned to begin Sept. 16 in front of the downtown Post Office.

Postmaster Richard Rogers said the repairs had been planned to begin last week, but inclement weather forced the work to be postponed. He expects the work to be completed by the end of September.

“The safety and well-being of our customers, as well as the general public and our employees, is of paramount importance to the Postal Service,” he said. “We want to thank our customers and the community for their patience and understanding while we make the necessary repairs.”
