Mr. and Mrs. J R Johnson, of Monticello, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kasi Leigh Johnson, to Charles Austin Davis.

He is the son of Jimmy Davis, of Monticello, and Mr. and Mrs. Garry Montgomery, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth “Fuzz” Wooten and the late John “Buster” Hickman, of Brookhaven, and Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Johnson, of Monticello.

He is the grandson of Buddy Wilson, the late Marie Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Burns McCloud and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Glen Thurman.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2012 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She is currently designing her own line of hand made jewelry and marketing it in the Southern states. She also is an assistant manager at Susan’s Shoppe in Brookhaven.

The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center and a 2010 graduate of Southwest Mississippi Community College. He is employed as an assistant driller with Noble Drilling.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at 7 p.m. on the white sandy banks of Fair River in Monticello. A tented riverside reception will follow.
