Visitation for, John Philip Box of Brookhaven is Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Box, 64, died Sept. 14, 2014, at his residence. He was born on June 27, 1950, to John Preston Box and Hazel Hennington Box.

He was captain of a tow boat and was of the Methodist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister; and daughter, Janelle Marie Box.

Survivors are his wife, Deborah Box; sons, Scott Box and wife, Betty Rae Grabbs Box, Jason Box, Kevin Box and wife, Windy; daughter, Michelle Box Greer and husband, Nickey; sisters, Johnnye Pearl Box Creek and Cherie Box Taylor; cousin, Robert Hamilton and a bushel and a peck of grandchildren.
