Funeral Services for Leonard Roland Malone of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. Malone, 74, died Sept. 14, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 27, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Allen Roland Malone and Beulah Malone.

Mr. Malone was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired previous owner of Lucky 7 Greenhouse. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Rocky Malone; granddaughter, Gena Smith; great-granddaughter, Alana Kay Pitts; and two brothers, David Malone and Ronnie Malone.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Malone; son, Leonard “Manny” Malone Jr. and wife, Ouida; daughters, Gigi Owens and husband, Hank, Mimi Smith and husband, Jimmy, Elizabeth Coon and husband, Bill, Sylvia Pfaffenberger and husband, Fred and Jasmine Malone; 16 grandchildren, Cary Smith, Tatum Pfaffenberger, Shannon Sanders, Angel Morgan, Steven Webb, Lenny Cotty, Katasha Case, Jamie Smith, Kayla Wilson, Kelli Owens, Chance Owens, Chase Owens, Joseph Malone, Jeremy Malone and Austin Malone; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Memorials and in-lieu of flowers, may be made to Oschner’s Medical Center, Heart Transplant Unit Department of Philanthropy, 1514 Jefferson Hwy, BH 240, New Orleans, LA 70121.
