HATTIESBURG – The North Forrest Eagles knocked off the Loyd Star Hornets 38-0 last Friday night in high school football action.

Sophomore running back Zac Arnold powered the Hornets rushing attack with 13 carries for 70 yards. Brett Calcote contributed 51 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Parker Flowers directed the aerial attack for Loyd Star, completing 4-of-9 passes for 58 yards

Patrick Price was the top receiver with one catch for 30 yards. Willie Smith had one reception for 15 yards.

Defensively, Calcote directed the Hornets with nine tackles. Anfernee Claire provided six stops. Austin Smith recovered two fumbles and Nick Smith had one fumble recovery.

Loyd Star (2-4, 1-0) welcomes the Amite County Trojans to William E. “Sambo” Smith Field Friday for Region 7-2A football action. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
