Funeral Services for Norris “Ed” Lofton Jr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Mt. Zion Church of Christ with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services and will continue at 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Lofton, 84, died Nov. 9, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born on July 21, 1930, to Norris E. Lofton Sr. and Edna Ray Hanley Lofton.

He was a retired dairy salesman and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Lucille Watts, Ruth Hagee, Myrtis Magee, Eva Riggs, Bessie Garno, Allie Lofton; brother, Austin Lofton; two daughters, Patricia Ann Lofton and Sharon Lofton Gilmore.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Juanita Watts Lofton; sons, Ronnie Lofton and wife, Sharon, and Terry Lofton; his daughter, Suzanne Cagle and husband, Eddie; son-in-law, Wayne Gilmore; brothers, Lawrence Lofton and wife, Mary, and Aaron Lofton and wife, Betty; sister, Ruby Cantrell; seven grandchildren, Alyson Lofton Huey and husband, Ben, Tyler Lofton and wife, Jamie, Connor Cagle, Carly Cagle, Kimberly Hughes, Nicole Gilmore Tripp and husband, Kerry, and Lindsey Gilmore Schofield and husband, Adam; six great-grandchildren, Dalton Hughes, Garrett Hughes, Kennedy Burton, Berkeley Tripp, Brooklyn Huey and Tanner Huey.

Memorials may be made to The Berean Children’s Home, 1180 Berea Trail SE, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629.
