Funeral Services for Bill R. Hall of Huntsville were 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at First United Methodist Church with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Coy Hallmark officiated.

Visitation was Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, from 1 until 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hall, 82, died Oct. 18, 2014. He was born on July 26, 1932, in Monticello.

He graduated from Mississippi State University with a mechanical engineering degree. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft maintenance officer and pilot. Mr. Hall was a project engineer for Teledyne Brown Engineering for 25 years before he retired. He then received a patent on a swimming pool fountain and organized American Fountain Co., Inc. His company manufactured this fountain and sold them through the U.S. and many foreign countries.

Mr. Hall’s main hobby was flying his airplane. He served on the board of directors of the Huntsville Madison County Railroad Authority. He delivered Meals on Wheels for many years and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Huntsville.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Virginian J. Hall; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hall; sisters, Alice Berry and Ovida Hall; brother, Warren Hall.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Charlotte Hall; daughters, Karen Hall, Pamela Gilmore; son, William Hall; stepson, Richard Zook; stepdaughters, Susan Callaway, Mary Leigh Gwaltney; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
