CRYSTAL SPRINGS – The Wesson girls and boys soccer team were victorious Tuesday night as they blanked the Crystal Springs Tigers in two games.

In the girls contest, the Lady Cobras won 6-0 over the Lady Tigers. Scoring for Wesson were Amber Brinson with two goals. Destiney Day, Kim San, Natalie Bonds and Brooke Jones scored one goal each.

The Lady Cobras provided a variety of shot selections against Crystal Springs as Cheyenne Gladden (5), Kim San (2), Carly Fleming (4), Misty Tanksley (3), Amber Brinson (5), Brooke Jones (2).

Harmoni Ashley recorded two saves as the goalie.

Arie Douglas lead the Lady Cobras in steals with 12. Misty Tanksley had 5 steals, Carly Fleming (1), Zoe Davis (1), Cheyenne Gladden (5), Brooke Jones (2), Emily Gregg (5), Meagan Jones (2), Alisanne Hall (3), Erika Gemelli (2), and Amber Brinson (6).

In the boys’ game, the Cobras blanked the Tigers 7-0. Fred Arzate led Wesson charge with two goals. Aariq Vaughn, Eli Hernandez, Dylan Ingle, Marcus Jones and Francisco Hernandez scored a goal each.

The Cobras provided plenty of excitement in their shot selection as the Arzate led the pace with six. ), Marcus Jones (2), Josh Miller (3), Dylan Ingle (1), Aariq Vaughn (1) and Eli Hernandez (1)

Preston Middleton had a big night as the goalie recording two saves.

Travis Smith lead the Cobras in steals with six. Fred Arzate (5), Jose Bello (5), Matthew Miller (4), Justin Morgan (2), Marcus Jones (2), Noah Spear (1), Fidel Mallado (1), Logan Channell (1), Skyler Rasberry (1), Kelvin Casanova (1), and Francisco Hernandez (1).

Wesson, coached by Bobo Douglas, will host Raymond at Co-Lin Friday. Varsity girls action starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m.
