Funeral Services for Loney Alma Rushing Sykes of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mrs. Sykes, 92, died Dec. 9, 2014, at Haven Hall. She was born on Sept. 30, 1922, to Henry Melton “Buddy” Rushing and Bertha Johnston Rushing.

She was retired from Stahl Urban and was a member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Joseph H. Sykes; brothers, Eugene, Clarence, Jesse and Melton; sisters, Georgia R. Posey, Ruby R. Grice and Verna R. Porter Smith.

Survivors are a host of nieces and nephews and her church family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Berean Children’s Home, 1180 Berea Trl SE, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629.
