Also known to her friends as “Peggy”, she lived all of her adult life in Brookhaven. She was a woman of strong character, who faithfully cared for her family and friends through her gifted skills in the kitchen. She had an eye for beauty, and it reflected her good taste.

Mrs. Brabham raised her three children alone after her husband, Lonnie Earl Kees, died in 1954 after only seven years of marriage. She remained a widow until 1983, when she married Brookhaven businessman, the late Alex Brabham Sr. Mrs. Brabham was a dedicated mother to her children and delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; and her son, Russell Neal Kees.

Survivors are her daughter, Emily Kees Reeves (John) of Clinton and son Lonnie Kees of Ridgeland; her grandchildren, Meredith Nunnari of Pensacola, Florida, Melanie Clyatt (T.), David Reeves (Suzanne), all of Clinton; Ben Kees (Lauren) and Jacob Kees of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby Knight of Brookhaven.
