Funeral Services for Melinda O’Quinn of Wesson are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive.

Mrs. O’Quinn, 47, died Jan. 13, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Aug. 10, 1967, in Hazlehurst to Robert and Mary Hamilton of Wesson.

She was a store clerk and a child care worker as well as a substitute teacher. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She loved her church family and her community. She enjoyed painting, jewelry making and spoiling her nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her sister, Blanche Pickett; and nephew, Russ Pickett.

Survivors are her husband, Bill O’Quinn; her parents; her brother, Keith Hamilton; her sister, Janet Burns and husband, Glenn; and numerous nieces and nephews all of Wesson.
