Funeral Services for Hoyt E. Case of Wesson are 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tim McCaffery and Bro. Talmadge Smith will officiate. Pallbearers are Lance Case, Shane Easterling, Jeffery Case, Justin Spencer, Jeffery Nail and Ralph Smith. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, from 1 p.m. until time of service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Case, 97, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born on March 23, 1917, in Brookhaven to John Marshall and Lela Carpenter Case.

He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served many years as a faithful deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked for 35 year. He served in the United States Marine Corps for six years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as a loving and gentle man who was always looking out for others.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Myrtle Smith Case; and sisters, Elaine Smith, Geroline Fulton and Myrtis Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Eunice L. Case of Wesson; sons, Erik Case and wife, Debby, of Brandon; Phillip Case and wife, Judy, of Wesson, Ronald Nail and wife, Nancy, of Ashville, Alabama and Cary Nail and wife, Robyn, of Columbia, Tennessee; sister, Murlyn Smith of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Jessica Green and husband, Jarrod, of Brandon, Jeffrey Case of Madison, Lance Case and wife, Tanya, of Byram, Leigh Easterling and husband, Shane, of Wesson, Anabel Spencer and husband, Justin, of Sumrall, Jennifer Martin and husband, Monte, of Calera, Alabama, Jeffery Nail and wife, Katrina, of Moody, Alabama, Megan Jones and husband, Jason, of Culman, Alabama, and Kenzy and Kasey Nail of Columbia, Tennessee; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
