Funeral Services for George Allen Earls of Wesson are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Sylvarena Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. Earls, 71, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Silver Cross in Brookhaven after a battle with dementia. He was born on March 8, 1943, in Copiah County to Lee V. Earls and Marguerite Furlow Earls Hamilton.

Mr. Earls had a dairy farm before going into law enforcement. He served Lincoln County for over 20 years serving as constable, deputy and heriff. He then worked as head of maintenance at Pine View in Hattiesburg and owned a horse farm until retirement. He competed at a national level of team penning for over 15 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers, A.R. Earls and Mitchell Earls.

Survivors are his sons Clint Earls and wife, Traci, of Brookhaven, Clay Earls and wife, Kelly, of Wesson; brothers Lee Earls Sr. of Silver Creek, Ronnie Earls of Wesson, Jerry Earls of Wesson; sisters Donnis Renfroe of Brookhaven, Janice Inabnet of Wesson, Ina Taylor of Shreveport, Louisiana and Irene Polk of Brookhaven; two grandchildren, Laney Kate Earls and Layton Earls both of Wesson; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Mike Hux, Dave Toten and Ky Lowery all of Wesson.
