Funeral Services for Dorothy Maxine “MZ 99” May of Monticello are 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Quinn’s Temple Church of God in Christ with burial in Rocky Branch Cemetery. The pastor Ellis Ray Sullivan will officiate. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel and will continue Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Quinn’s Temple Church of God in Christ at noon until time of service.

Mrs. May, 79, died Feb. 11, 2015, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. She was born on Oct. 25, 1935, in Lawrence County to Bennie and Velma Jefferson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Redus May; two sons, Tony Peyton and Dewitt Peyton; one daughter, Dorothy Smith; and two sisters, Johnny Daggins and Charlene Watts.

Survivors are her daughters, Mary (Robert) Grandberry, Lou Della Robinson, Belinda (Geral) Peyton, Elaine Glass and Vanessa Daggins; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
