Funeral Services for James Artis Sinclair of Brookhaven are 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at First Baptist Church with burial in Ruth Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Sinclair, 87, died Feb. 20, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born on March 22, 1927, to Frank Sinclair and Nora Graham Sinclair.

He was inducted into Co-Lin sports Hall of Fame in 1984. He served as alderman, lifetime deacon at First Baptist Church, long time Sunday school teacher, beloved coach and educator who was honored to have the Brookhaven High School gymnasium named after him in 1997. He also served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lerline White Sinclair; sisters, Eleanor McGowan, Myrtle Phillips, Pauline Phillips; brothers, Travis Sinclair, Willie Sinclair, John P. Sinclair, F.M. Sinclair.

Survivors are his wife, Martha Clark Sinclair; daughters, Becky Sinclair Green and Steve, Nancy Sinclair Fisher and husband, Rob, Kathy Green and husband, Walt, Donna Andre and husband, Barry; sons, Clark Manuel and wife, Pam, Cliff Manuel and wife, Elaine; sisters, Nina Sinclair Jones, Flora Sinclair Saxon, Patsy Sinclair Nealy; grandchildren, Kayla Fisher, Abby Fisher Downing and husband, John, Emily Green Phillips and husband, Paden, James Green, Dr. Martha Grace Green Patel and husband, Nick, Suzanne Green Meridith and husband, Paul, Clifton Green and wife, Lauren, Madeline Manuel, Cole Manuel, Luke Manuel, Nick Manuel, Alex Nash; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Brookhaven 200 E Monticello Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
