Funeral Services for James Monroe Britt Sr. of Wesson are 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services and will resume on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at Macedonia.

Mr. Britt, 77, died Feb. 21, 2015, at his residence. He was born on May 2, 1937, to Floyd and Gladys Montgomery Britt.

He was a dairy farmer and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was also a Loyd Star FFA Alumni.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Minnie Bell Boyd; and a grandson, Aven Paul Raney.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Lynelle Ferguson Britt; sons, James Monroe “Chuck” Britt Jr., Travis Cody Britt and fiancé, Renee Givens; daughter, Carole Ravae Britt Raney and husband, Kelcy; brothers-in-law, Edward M. Ferguson and wife, Jackie, Danny Ferguson and wife, Sue, Rickey Ferguson and wife, Cathey, Robert Earl Boyd; sister-in-law, Helen Ruth Lea and husband, Hubert; five grandchildren, Dewayne Smith, Brad Britt (Kristy), Jimmy Britt, Lauren Sims (Jason), Rusti Rippy (Chris); and six great-grandchildren, Hayden, Reagan, Austin, Makayla, Gage and Scarlott.
