Resser named MACJC Player of the Week

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln sophomore first baseman Austin Resser has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Player of the Week. Resser, a native of Newton, Kansas, went 8-11 with seven singles, one double, four RBIs and one walk in a 2-2 week for the Wolves.

Resser went 4-4 in a 10-9 loss to Delta and went 1-2 with a two RBI single in an 11-0 win over Delta. He went a combined 3-5 in a split against Panola College. The Pratt (Kas.) Community College transfer also scored three runs during the week and did not strike out. Resser is the second Co-Lin player to be named player of the week, following outfielder Adrian Brown who was honored after the first week of the season.
