DECATUR – The East Central Community College Lady Warriors slipped by the Co-Lin Lady Wolves 5-4 in tennis recent action.

Sophomore Carlianne Alderman of Brookhaven and freshman Brandi McInnis of Wesson picked up a win for the Lady Wolves. The pair defeated East Central’s Mackie Smith/Katlyn Patrick 8-0 in No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, the Lady Wolves won three matches. McInnis defeated Patrick in No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0. Alderman disposed of Brooke Payne 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5 and Carly Riley took care of Kristine Jenkins 3-6, 6-1 (10-7) at No. 6.

At No. 1, Shannon St. Clair defeated Co-Lin freshman Madison Warren of Brookhaven 6-4, 6-1. Hannah Peoples defeated Allie Dear of Terry 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Sophomore Caroleah Brister of Brookhaven fell to Kaley Bufkin 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4.

East Central took wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. St. Clair/Bufkin defeated Warren/Riley 8-6 at No. 1 and Peoples/Payne defeated Co-Lin’s Dear/Brister 8-6.

Co-Lin hosts Jones on March 20 beginning at 1 p.m.
