Funeral Services for Cloteal K. Townsend of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia.

Visitation is Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 12 p.m. until time of service at Riverwood.

Mrs. Townsend, 80, died March 13, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Jena, Louisiana on Sept. 7, 1934 to Talmadge P. Kennon and Edna Goulde Kennon. Mrs. Townsend was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Janice T. Theriot; and son-in-law Ronald Benoit.

She is survived by her son, Donald W. Townsend Sr. and wife, Brenda; daughters, Ruth T. Burnham, Audrey T. Benoit and Diane T. Smith; sons-in-law, Alvin Theriot and Richard Stewart; sisters, Clydell Freeman and Louise McPherson; 17 grandchildren, Angel Froust, Eric Benoit Sr., Ashley Gros, Scott Benoit, Becky Benoit, Stacy Dunigan, Corey Theriot, Krystal Theriot, Cody Theriot, Kacy Theriot, Wayne Pickering, Donald Townsend Jr., Paige Floyd, Hope Kennedy, Glen Ashley Jr., Tasha Ashley and Tabitha Phipps; 44 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
