Funeral Services for Lucien Allen Smith of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015, at New Salem Church of Christ with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 3 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 89, died March 14, 2015, at his home. He was born on April 5, 1925 in Lincoln County to Lucien James Smith and Lelia Hoggatt Smith.

He was a retired gauger with Chevron Oil Company with 33 years of service. He was a member of Highway 84 Church of Christ in Brookhaven. He was also a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Gladys Allen Smith; his brother, Harry Fortenberry; his two sisters, Dot Smith and Helen Smith

Survivors are his two sons, Ronald Tony Smith and wife, Donna, of Brookhaven; and Jeffrey Lane Smith and wife, Christy, of Long Beach; his daughter, Judy Lynn Smith Amos and husband, Billy, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Chad Smith, Lacey Smith, Jarod Amos, Lori Amos Laird, Brant Smith and Ally Smith; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
