Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Ivan Case of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at New Prospect Baptist Church with burial at the Church Cemetery.

He will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Visitation is 5 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Mr. Case, 94, passed away March 23, 2015 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

He was born on Sept. 11, 1920 to Eli Case and Cora Bell Newton Case.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Case retired from a career as a plumber and pipe fitter. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church for many years. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ, his family, and his church family. Mr. Case enjoyed gardening and sharing his vegetables with others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Herman, Finas, Lewis and Huey Case; five sisters, Amy Case Callender, Blanch Case Smith, Alli Case Smith, Winnie Bell Case Smith and Ina Case Lea; his wives, Ella Mae Anding Case and Dorothy Smith Case; and son-in-law Frank H. Owens.

He is survived by his son, Glenn Ivan Case & wife, Judy; and daughter, Diane Owens; six grandchildren, Chris Case and wife, Laura, Matt Case and wife, Amanda, Allison Case, Hank Owens and wife, Gigi, Julie Phillips and husband Maxie and Melissa Norman; 12 great-grandchildren, Abi Case, Presley Case, Landon Norman, Luke Norman, Shelby Norman, Hayley Phillips and husband, Colton, Heather Crosby, Hannah Crosby, Kayla Wilson and husband Brandon, Kelli Owens, Chance Owens and Chase Owens; and three great-great-grandchildren, Annaliese Phillips, Reece Wilson and Brantley Phillips and a host of nieces & nephews.
