Off-duty officer victim of Jackson car-jacking

According to WLBT, an off-duty Brookhaven police officer was carjacked Monday night in Jackson.
Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green told WLBT the off-duty officer pulled over his 2015 Chevy Malibu because of a flat tire. After the suspect jumped into the care and pulled away, the BPD officer fired several shots causing the care to catch on fire.
The suspect was able to get away and JPD is currently investigating and searching for the man responsible for the crime.
