BOONEVILLE – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College women’s s swept the Northeast Mississippi Lady Tigers in a rain-shortened match 6-0 and fell to the Itawamba Lady Indians 8-1 in recent tennis action

The Lady Wolves won all doubles matches as Madison Warren and Carly Riley defeated Kerston Jumper and Beth Ann Frazier 8-6 at No. 1, Allie Dear and Caroleah Brister beat Hannah Billingsley and Lindsey Clark 8-5 at No. 2 and Carlianne Alderman and Brandi McInnis took care of Erica Whitten and Brittney Rencher 8-3.

The teams were able to complete the first three matches before the rain set in. Co-Lin’s Madison Warren took care of Kerston Jumper 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1, Allie Dear blanked Beth Ann Frazier 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, and Brandi McInnis beat A. Manzano 6-2, 6-0. The remaining three matches were suspended.

Itawamba 8, Co-Lin 1 

Co-Lin’s lone win came at No. 3 singles as Brandi McInnis defeated Ivy Robbins 6-4, 6-3. In other singles action, Madison Warren fell to ICC’s Taylor Patterson 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1, Andria Bannes defeated Allie Dear 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2, Anna Griffin took care of Caroleah Brister 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4, Alierha Hudson blanked Carly Riley 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5. The Lady Wolves forfeited at No. 6.

In doubles action, Patterson and Hudson blanked Warren and Riley 8-0 at No. 1 and Griffin, and Robbins beat Brister and Dear 8-0 at No. 2. The Lady Wolves forfeited at No. 3.
