Rain causes cancellations or game changes

Tuesday morning and afternoon rain caused several high schools around the area to cancel or change their playing date to later this week.

If weather permits today, Co-Lin baseball will be in action as they host the Pearl River Wildcats, starting at 2 p.m.

Lawrence County baseball will also be in action as they host the North Pike Jaguars for a big Region 7-4A test, starting at 4 p.m.

The Brookhaven Panthers are scheduled to be in action today at Moyer Field as they battle the Pearl River Central Blue Devils in a huge division contest, starting at 5 p.m.

In softball action, the Lawrence County Lady Cougars will be traveling to Purvis to take on the Lady Tornadoes at 4 p.m.

The Co-Lin Lady Wolves will be on the road for a JUCO softball doubleheader contest at East Mississippi, starting at 3 p.m.

In tennis action, the Wesson Cobra netters are schedule to host the Region 7-3A individual tennis tournament at Brookhill, Matches started at 9 a.m.

Several of the area high school softball games Tuesday were cancelled and will not be made up unless it is a division game.

Changes for baseball, West Lincoln visits Loyd Star, Thursday. Tuesday schedule games between Enterprise versus East Marion and Wesson versus Hazlehurst has been move to Friday or Saturday.
