Local Powerlift teams and individuals will be hunting for gold, Saturday

DAILY LEADER / Photo Submitted / The Bogue Chitto Bobcats powerlifting team will be looking to bring home their third state championship in four years as they compete in Class 1A action Saturday in Jackson at the Mississippi Coliseum. Several students from other schools around the area will also be competing for individual golds as well. Lifters must report for weigh-ins Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Opening ceremony begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and the event will conclude at 8 p.m.
