Cathy Batson McDonnieal, of Brookhaven, and Robert Glenn McDonnieal, of Madison, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Catherine McDonnieal, of Brookhaven, to Russell Keith Franklin, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Tommy and Holly Franklin, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Catherine Day Batson, of Brookhaven, Neita McDonnieal Gray, of Mendenhall, the late Billy Gene Batson, of Brookhaven, and the late Charles G. McDonnieal, of Mendenhall.

He is the grandson of Grace Caroll Franklin, of Wesson, Penny Harbour Russell, of Brookhaven, the late Holloway Keith and Sharron Lynn Pickett Russell, of Wesson, and the late Willie Edward Franklin, of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. She graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2010 and Mississippi State University in 2012, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in communication. She is currently enrolled in Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s nursing program.

The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2010 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College where he received an associate’s degree in industrial maintenance. He is currently employed with Turner Industries.

The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Ole Towne Church. A reception will follow.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
