Lincoln Co. man threatens girlfriend

A Lincoln County man was arrested Tuesday after forceably asking his girlfriend to withdraw money from Copiah Bank in Wesson.

19-year-old Kentrell Tucker and his girlfriend got into an altercation in Lincoln County before driving her to the bank, according to Sheriff Steve Rushing.

There he told her to withdraw money. Reportedly, the money would be used to cover his bond if he was arrested for the assault. He also threatened to steal her car.

“She went inside, that’s when she wrote the note to the teller, I believe, to call 911,” Sheriff Rushing says.

He said the girl was on Facetime with Tucker so couldn’t say anything. The Wesson police were called.

Tucker was arrested by the Wesson Police Department and transported to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on charges of simple assault and domestic violence. Rushing said Tucker was bonded out later that night. Rushing said he doesn’t know if the victim will seek further charges against Tucker.
