Mississippi Highway Patrol state troopers arrested a person for possession of marijuana Tuesday after a routine traffic stop.

The troopers pulled over a 2008 Mercury on Highway 44 for a traffic violation. Upon running identification information, the troopers learned the individual had his license suspended for failure to appear. The officers then performed a routine search of the vehicle and found three ounces of marijuana.
