MCCOMB – The Lincoln County American All-Stars knocked off the Lincoln County National All-Star to keep their season alive with a 16-4 victory Saturday night in 7-year-old Dixie Youth AA Coach-Pitch District 6 Tournament action at McComb.

The Lincoln County Americans advanced to play the McComb Nationals in Monday’s contest, but come Monday night the Americans played the Natchez All-Stars and lost 14-4 to conclude the season. The game results of that contest were unavailable at press time.

In a recap of Friday games, the Nationals were out matched by the Natchez All-Stars falling 16-0 in the opener. In the nightcap, the Lincoln County Americans fought hard in offensive battle, but lost to the McComb Nationals 14-5.

In an early Saturday morning contest, the Lincoln County Americans bounced back to eliminate the McComb Americans 23-7 in the opener of the loser’s bracket.
