Funeral services for Shirley Grace Chain Holliday are 2 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at McNair Cemetery in Mt. Olive at 3:45 p.m.

Visitation is 12:30 p.m. until time of service Sunday at Riverwood.

Mrs. Holliday died July 10, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born May 31, 1932, in Mt. Olive to William Odell Chain and Eddie Mae Wolfe Chain.

Shirley was a graduate of Mt. Olive High School, Jones County Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi. She was employed as Dean of Women at Jones Junior College and later as a Medical Secretary at Keesler Air Force Base.

Shirley was married to William Brooks Holliday, a physician in the United States Air Force. They retired to Brookhaven, MS in 1999. They were members of Faith Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, James Alexander Chain and Farish Neil Chain; and her sister, Oneida Chain Kidd.

She is survived by her sisters, Polly Chain Roberts and her husband, Laverne Roberts, of Madison, and Peggy Chain Magee of Mt. Olive; and several nieces and nephews.
