Graveside services for Rita Allen Gates Townsend Tucker will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Easthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Tucker, 78, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Brookhaven to George Washington Allen and Lexie Estelle Brister Allen on Nov. 27, 1936. She was a member of Mt Olive Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Morgan Lee Gates and James Donald Townsend; parents; sister, Juanita Allen; and her brothers, Robert Earl Allen, Billy Frank Allen and Samuel Herman Allen.

Survivors are her son, Dana Lynn Townsend; daughters, Karen Gates Nettles and husband, Laron, of Wesson, Tracey Townsend Case and husband, Larry Dean, of Brookhaven; brother Larry E. Allen and wife, Kay, of Downey, California; sisters, Beverly Allen Morrison and husband, Brian, of El Dorado Hills, California, Pamela Allen Houff Moak and husband, Terry, of Brookhaven; four grandchildren, Deanna N. Howington and husband, Tommy, of Wesson, Christy N. Foote Russell and husband, Russ, of Monticello, Anna L. Townsend of Lafayette, Louisiana and Ethan B. Case of Brookhaven; one great-grandchild, Kolby Lane Foote of Monticello; and ex-husband, Bud Tucker, although divorced, they had remained friends.
