Floyd E. Daniels

Funeral services for Floyd E. Daniels will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Utica Cemetery. 

Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Riverwood. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Daniels, 73, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at the McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McComb, after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 7, 1941, to Edger W. Daniels and Bertie M. Quinn.

Floyd enjoyed hunting and fishing but was always happy drinking coffee with his friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and sharing stories with his driving buddies. He spent many years as a driver for Wal-Mart, based out of Brookhaven, and Merchants, based out of Jackson. He also served as a policeman in Moss Point and Wesson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Tiny Daniels and Ruby Pannell (Bob); and one brother, Claude Daniels (Irene).

Survivors are his wife, Janice (Lovern); brother, Donnie Daniels (Peggy) of Cooksville, Tennessee; six step-children, Jerry Smith (Charlene) of Moss Point, Donna Bronum (Norman) of Wesson, Michelle Pope (Sam) of Carthage, Regell Archer (Tom) of Destrehan, Louisiana, Jim Gray (Erika) of Union and Jill Falvey (Chris) of Bogue Chitto; 11 step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
