Franklin County (1-0),  coached by Anthony Hart, captured a big 20-6 win over Brookhaven last week.

This week, the Bulldogs hope to continue their success as they host the South Pike Eagles.

The Eagles, under the direction of Michael Andrews, were clobbered by the Jefferson County Tigers 20-8 in their season home opener last week.

FC’s top offensive player last week was senior running back Cortney Smith with 25 rushes for 103 yards.

Jacob McDaniel completed 5-of-11 passes for 115 yards

Defensively, Chris O’Quinn led the Bulldogs with nine tackles. La’Darius Norman and Cameron Young provided seven tackles each.

My prediction:  The Bulldogs will rely on their skill players to beat the Eagles 35-10.
