Private services for Charles Raymond Hunsucker will be held at a later date. Scot Ward Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hunsucker, 88, of Conyers, died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015. He was born April 4, 1927, in Bogue Chitto and raised in Brookhaven.

He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Hunsucker moved to Atlanta in 1957 to manage the largest B.F. Goodrich tire store in the Southeast, where he remained until his retirement in 1985. He was also a 50-year Member of the Gates City Lodge #2, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Atlanta.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Patsy Griffith Hunsucker; son, Charles R. Hunsucker Jr. (Lyndel Gliedman) of Atlanta; daughters, Patty Raelene Davis (William) of Crawfordville, Florida, Adrian Kee Kennedy (Anthony Vines) of Conyers; grandchildren, Adrian Blythe Hunsucker, Margaret Anne Valerio (Jason), Benjamin Mark Kennedy (Katarina), Cynthia Nevin Kennedy, Bonnie Michele Taliaferro (Lee), Edward Patrick Minge; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Richard Hunsucker (Ellen) of Thomasville; sister, Martha Virginia Smith of New Orleans, Louisiana.
