Wesson (1-1),  coached by Ronald Greer, captured its first win of the season with a thrilling 26-16 victory over the Sumrall Bobcats last week.

This week, the Cobras are looking for another win as they return home to Stone Stadium to host the Bogue Chitto Bobcats for the first time since 2009.

Wesson’s top offensive performer last week was Jamarcus Patterson with three carries for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Kendrick Brown had eight rushes for 54 yards. Cornelius Barlow returned a punt for 65 yards.

Bogue Chitto (0-2),  coached by Gareth Sartin, is currently on a 11-game losing skid after falling to Enterprise 36-12 last week at Harry Cole Field.

This week, the young Bobcats are looking to turn it around.

BC’s top offensive performer last week was Connor Douglas. He completed 5-of-10 passes for 55 yards. Dee Dillon was the top receiver with three catches for 48 yards.

Lambert directed the Bobcats’ ground attack with seven carries for 55 yards.

Defensively, Terrance Morgan paced the Bobcats’ defense with 11 tackles. Sherman Jackson provided nine tackles. Kobe Roberts, Connor Price and Demarcus Goldbolt had seven stops each.

My prediction: The Cobras will defeat Bogue Chitto 32-12.
