Update:

Tucker Lambert’s mother Clancey Laird Lambert posted an update on his condition on Facebook:

“I am thankful to say that Tucker is awake and alert. He has some residual damage from his multiple concussions. He will be moved to the cardiac unit shortly and we are awaiting the results of his scans,” she wrote at approximately midnight. “He is also complaining of his left foot and we are getting X-rays on that as well.”

“I can never thank God enough or the many of you who lifted us in prayer. We felt it. This was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced watching my baby lie there on the field, waiting on the ambulance and will be forever grateful for all of the calls, texts, visits, messages and most of all prayers.”

He was released from the hospital Saturday.

Update:

Principal Mickey Myers said Tucker Lambert is responsive and should be fine. He was talking coherently about the team, according to Myers.

Lambert was transported directly to UMC, a hospital official confirmed.

Shawn Buffington is expected to be OK as well, Myers said. He was released from KDMC, according to a hospital official.
