Arrests

The Lincoln County Jail Docket for Tuesday was as follows:

 

• Octaish Clay, 05-03-90, 1010 Wade Lane, Hazlehurst — arrested for failure to appear in court by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Tiffany Mitchell, 01-08-87, 211 Cypress Cart, Gray, Louisiana — arrested for burglary by the LCSO.

• Marty H. Reed, 05-02-69, of 401 May St. Apt. No. 2, Brookhaven — arrested for driving with a suspended license and no proof of liable insurance by Brookhaven Police Department.

• Miranda R. Walker, 01-24-92, of 515 South First St. Apt. A, Brookhaven — arrested for contempt of court by the BPD.

River Stages

On Wednesday the Mississippi River stage at Vicksburg, where the flood stage is 43 feet, was 11.0, down 0.3 feet in the past 24 hours. In Natchez, where the flood stage is 48 feet, was 18.4, down 0.5 feet in the past 24 hours. The Pearl River stage at Jackson, where the flood stage is 12 feet, was 4.7, down 0.1 feet in the past 24 hours.

 

Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department responded to a citizen burning trash on North Street Drive. Firefighters responded at approximately 6:02 p.m. and returned to the station at 6:10 p.m. Firefighters responded to another trash fire on Union Street Lot 22. Firefighters responded at 6:34 p.m. and returned to the station at 6:44 p.m. Firefighters also responded to a home AC unit smelling of smoke on Highway 51 SE at 12 p.m. and returned to the station around 12:07 p.m.

 

Copiah County Reports 

The Wesson Police Department reports one citation for a stop sign violation for Wednesday.

Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service had 12 calls Wednesday; four were transfers, with two to Jackson, one to the city and one to Pike County. There were eight emergency calls, with eight medical, five in the city and three in the county.
