Funeral services for Ernest “Buck” Jackson are Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial in church cemetery. Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jackson, 84, of Wesson, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez McCray Jackson; father, Charles Thomas Jackson Jr.; mother, Julia Etta Keyes; sister, Inec Lavern Jackson Hall; brother, Charles D. Jackson; brother, Johnny Ray Jackson; sister, Frances Jackson Boatright; brother, Hulon Jackson; brother, William Carroll Jackson; and sister, Joyce Jackson Ratliff.

Survivors are his daughter, Ernestine Jackson Selvage (Bruce); daughter, Barbara Inez Jackson King; daughter, Sheila Diane Jackson Floyd (David); son, Calvin Ernest Jackson; daughter, Julia Darlene Jackson Smith (Donnie); and daughter, Kelly Jane Jackson Rutland; grandchildren, Bruce Wade Selvage Jr., April Dawn Selvage Kerlin, Christopher Shearer, Patricia Darlene Smith Turnage, Ashley Orlich Carr, Trent Rutland, Aliza Jane Rutland; great-grandchildren, Sydney Kerlin, Logan Kerlin, Addison Kerlin, Bruce Wade Selvage III, Natasia Selvage, Lucas Selvage, Chloe Rutland, Stone Shearer, Megan Turnage and Caleb Turnage.
