Graveside services for Robert E. Moak are Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Rev. Dan Graddy will be officiating the services assisted by Rev. Zach Moak. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive).

Mr. Moak, 98, died on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst. He was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Lincoln County to Ed and Arie Boggs Moak.

He worked at McComb Wholesale Paper Company, the State Highway Department and ran Moak’s Grocery for 24 years. He also sold watermelons for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Arlington Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 68 years, Juanita Sasser Moak; his brother, Loyd Moak; his grandchildren, James Michael Pickett, Clifford Wayne Moak and Nancy Denise Pickett; and great-grandchild, William Howell Pickett.

Survivors are his daughter, Lanell Moak Pickett and her husband, Tom, of McCall Creek; his sons, Wayne Moak and wife, Georgia, of Bogue Chitto and Delton Moak and his wife, Patricia, also of McCall Creek; as well as 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
